Fraktura - English Class

Class level intermediate/advance (beginners can take the class but it is recommended some experience with broad edge pens).
Gothic Fraktur as its name indicates is characterized by discontinuous broken strokes. It was the typography used for most books printed in Germany between the XVI and XIX centuries. It could be said that Fraktur it's an evolution from previous gothic scripts and has details from Textura or Batarde.
In this class, we will study a contemporary version of the original Fraktur but strongly influenced by the work of the late master Hermann Zapf.
Broad edge pen between 3mm and 6mm, for example, Brause, Speedball o Tape nibs, Automatic pens, Pilot parallel, or similar.
Drawing paper 90gr. fine grain such as Fabriano sketch, Canson croquis, or similar.
Chinese stick ink, walnut ink or watercolors.
